I was tasked with creating a series of banner illustrations for The Bowman Report, a print and online publication aimed at informing veterinary technicians on modern day topics in their field. Over the course of one month, I produced fully rendered illustrations for dozens of articles. In Edition 6, we focus on the Vet Tech occupation and the concurrent mental health and occupational challenges that many face today, especially during Covid. In Edition 7, we discussed the long term impacts of spay-and-neutering and how euthanasia can help protect overgrown feline communities from disease and harm.

Given the often heavy and clinical nature of the content, I chose to keep the illustrations bright and playful to bring visual balance and maintain reader engagement. We were also not as concerned with keeping a cohesive style, which allowed us to experiment with different methods and techniques to accurately convey the message of the piece. In addition to creating the core artwork, I also adapted each illustration for various formats-optimizing them for use across print, social media, and web platforms while maintaining clarity and cohesion.
This project challenged me to work quickly and strategically, combining strong visual storytelling with adaptability across mediums. To see these articles and illustrations in their context, visit TheBowmanReport.com
