Bowman Report is a quarterly annual web blog targeted towards Veterinary Physicians, and it was created to make KVP International a thought leader in the industry. This is my second time illustrating for this publication, and luckily I had a lot more time to be nit-pick the fine details on these. Along with my Creative Director Jeff Fisher’s feedback, I designed these illustrations to make the drawl theme of Spay-and-Neutering a bit lighter and easier to discuss. All of these illustrations took about a month to draw, mainly on Procreate and Photoshop. You can find the articles that match these illustrations at Bowman Report.

When brainstorming ideas, we took the general concept of each article and really wanted to flesh out each one’s main message in a fun illustrative form. Since some of these articles were specifically talking about the harmful results of spay-and-neuter practices, we decided to make ironic representations of each. A vet-tech trying to disarm an explosive device in a dog for example is a fun and silly way to express the immense stress that real life veterinarians feel everyday when trying to properly care for your furry friends without causing further harm. Being a vet can be a stressful job, and with these illustrations, we were able to help discuss serious topics in a more light hearted format.
